How should we dress for our family session?
What you wear shapes the entire visual feel of the session, but it should still feel like something you would actually wear. Rather than matching everyone, choose colors, textures, and layers that belong in the same world and move well together. Once you book, we’ll send you a full styling guide—and if you want more help, send us photos or links. We’re happy to look through options with you and give specific, hands-on guidance for each person. In general, skip large logos and overly busy patterns, and prioritize clothes that let you move, sit, play, and hold your people without constantly fussing with them.
Can we request a specific style or theme for our photos?
You’re welcome to share the mood, setting, wardrobe, or ideas you’re drawn to, and we’ll use them as creative starting points. Our photography and editing style, however, will always remain distinctly Forest Film. We don’t recreate another photographer’s work or reshape our approach around a different aesthetic. Booking with us means choosing the work you already see here and trusting us to create something new within that world.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
We’ll always do our best to accommodate rescheduling when availability allows. All deposits are non-refundable. If a wedding is cancelled within 3 months of the scheduled date, the full contracted fee remains due because we reserved that date exclusively and are unlikely to book another wedding with limited notice. Exceptions may be considered depending on the circumstances, but are made at our discretion and cannot be guaranteed.
For portrait sessions, cancellations and rescheduling are permitted, but the deposit remains non-refundable.
How many pictures will we receive?
The number of images included varies by session. You’ll find the guaranteed minimum listed with each session option above.
Do you offer print packages or just digital images?
Every gallery includes its own professional print shop, with beautifully made products that do the photographs justice. You can choose your images, sizes, and print options directly inside the gallery and have everything shipped to your home—no separate quote or email required.
