Maggie
Maggie is the founder of Forest Film, and she grew up loving photography and learning from her dad, who once shoot for UGA sports events in the 1980s. Once she met Dutch, her passion grew, and she started working with him more and more, becoming his second shooter at weddings and editing photo galleries. Eventually, she began shooting for her own clients, developed her own style, and nurtured a deep passion for the art she was creating. She now travels all over the world for weddings and elopements, and dreams of taking her business to new heights of creativity and artistry as the years go by.
Dutch
Dutch Mendenhall began his photography journey at 11 years old when he picked up his first Pentax camera. As the years went by, he realized that professional photography was something he wanted to pursue, and at age 18, he upgraded his equipment and officially started his own photography business. Ever since, he has been shooting everything from weddings and senior photos to street cats and photography for print.

We won’t just stand you somewhere and tell you to smile at the camera over and over. We’ll direct the session a lot more like a scene, so you’ll have things to do and ways to move, but it won’t feel overly posed or stiff. We might have you walk, sit close, read together, set up a picnic, talk to each other, or just settle into a quiet moment.
In short, we’ll give you enough guidance that you’re never wondering what to do, but enough space that it still feels natural and not forced.
What does the booking process look like?
To book a session, head over to our website's contact page and request your preferred date. Once we confirm availability, you can secure your date by placing a 30% deposit. We'll then arrange the shoot at a location of your choice. Expect a sneak peek of your photos within 7 days and the full gallery within 30 days (or 90 days for weddings). Throughout the process, we’ll maintain open communication to ensure everything runs smoothly. Following the shoot, you’ll receive a free digital gallery of high-resolution downloads and have the option to order prints to cherish your memories in physical form.
