Our work as photographers is rooted in more than creativity — it’s shaped by a deep care for people and a desire to honor the Lord through the art we create. He’s given us the gift of seeing beauty in the world He made, and we count it a privilege to reflect that beauty back through the people He created in His image. Every person carries worth, value, and a story, and we approach each wedding with that in mind.
As two introverts ourselves, we have a soft spot for the quieter souls — the people who don’t naturally gravitate toward being in front of a camera. We understand that feeling deeply, and it shapes the way we work. Our approach is less about stiff posing and more about gently directing, like creating small, cinematic scenes that feel natural, lived-in, and comfortable. And don’t worry — we guide you through everything. You never have to wonder what to do next.
When we document a couple’s wedding day, our goal is to tell their love story in a way that feels honest, emotional, and true to who they are. It’s a momentous responsibility, and one we hold with great care.
And for us, the experience doesn’t begin on the wedding day and it doesn’t end when your gallery is delivered. From the first email to many years after you’ve said your vows, the way you feel through this entire journey matters. About Us
We were both creative people long before we started photographing weddings together. We’re musicians, we love period dramas and old things, and we can spend an unreasonable amount of time wandering through antique shops. We also occasionally step in front of the camera ourselves for historically inspired modeling and other creative projects, which has given us a much better understanding of what it actually feels like to be photographed. Most of our adventures these days include our daughter, Elsie, too.
We typically shoot weddings together—either both of us photographing, or one of us shooting photo while the other captures the day on Super 8. We’ll give you direction when you need it, but we also know when to step back and let things happen naturally. We don’t want to make every wedding look the same, and we definitely don’t want your photos to feel like they could have belonged to anyone else.
Forest Film is really a combination of everything we love: art, history, music, travel, old films, beautiful places, and real human stories. We feel incredibly blessed that we get to create together—and that people trust us to preserve such an important part of their lives.

Wildering
Our most Comprehensive wedding package
The Wildering is our most complete collection, created for couples who don’t want to choose between still photographs and the movement and nostalgia of Super 8. Both of us will be there—one focused on photography and the other capturing the day on film—so we can preserve more of what’s happening without making your wedding feel crowded or overproduced.
There’s no rigid coverage timeline attached to this collection. It can be as long or as short as your celebration actually calls for, and the coverage can remain within one day or be divided between two. That might mean documenting both your welcome gathering and wedding day, splitting coverage between a ceremony and reception held on separate days, or simply giving a multi-day celebration the room it needs without trying to squeeze everything into a standard wedding timeline.
This flexibility makes The Wildering especially well suited to destination and multicultural weddings. All travel within the United States is included, international travel is offered at a discounted rate, and an engagement session and 35mm film are also included.

Step One
Discovery Call
We recommend hopping on a quick 15-minute consultation. This is for the sole purpose of connecting voices and names in a more human way, and helping us both get a feel for whether our approach is the
perfect fit for what you are looking for. A phone call allows for familiarity and comfort, and helps me get an even better feel for your vision.
If you absolute hate phone calls though, don’t worry I get it! We can also do everything via email or meet in person for coffee if you are local.
Step Two
Locking Things In
If things feel like a good fit and you know which package you’re interested in (or if you prefer to build a custom package), we will send you an itemized quote so you can see everything clearly and transparently.
Once you accept your quote officially (yay!) you’ll be sent a contract to sign, plus an invoice to make your first deposit. Once both are completed, your date is officially reserved and we will stay in touch with you every step of the way.
Step Three
Welcome Guide
You’ll receive our welcome guide in the mail! It’s a magazine-style guide we carefully curated and wrote to answer nearly every question I’ve ever heard a bride ask while planning a wedding, along with so much of the information I wish I’d had when I was planning my own.
We try to mail wedding guides for new clients once a month, so please allow up to 8 weeks for yours to arrive. It’s full of helpful guidance, thoughtful details, and everything you’ll need to feel more prepared as we head into this process together.
Step Four
Prepping for your wedding
Once we are within 6 or so months of your wedding, I will send you a wedding questionnaire and couple's portal that will allow you to put all the important details of your wedding or elopement in one place, so we can be fully prepared for your beautiful day.
If your package includes timeline guidance, I will also make sure this gets created and sent to you within 8 weeks of your wedding (or whenever you have a good idea of which events you want to include in your wedding day).
Travel
A wedding or elopement location can be so much more than a pretty backdrop. It might be somewhere you’ve traveled together, the place you got engaged, somewhere connected to your family, or simply a destination you’ve always wanted an excuse to experience. Whatever brings you there, we’d love to come along and document it.
Bringing photographers in from another state—or another country—can sound complicated, but we keep our part simple. We’ll include the necessary travel in your quote, make all of our own arrangements, and arrive with enough time to account for delays and get familiar with the area. You won’t have to coordinate our flights, lodging, or transportation for us.
We already have these destinations on our calendar! If your wedding, elopement, or session falls near one of our existing trips, we may be able to photograph it with significantly reduced travel fees.

Travel FAQ
01/02
WHAT DO “REDUCED TRAVEL FEES” MEAN?
When we already have a trip booked, part of the cost of getting us to that area is already covered. Your travel fee will be based on what your booking adds to our existing plans rather than the full cost of a separate trip. The exact amount will depend on how closely your date and location line up with where we’ll already be.
HOW DO THE BUCKET-LIST DISCOUNTS WORK?
Because we don’t already have travel planned to these destinations, the necessary travel costs will still need to be covered. However, we’ll apply a special discount to your booking in exchange for giving us an excuse to finally photograph one of the places we’ve been dreaming about!
DO WE NEED TO BOOK YOUR FLIGHTS OR LODGING?
Nope! We’ll take care of booking our own flights, lodging, rental car, and any other transportation we need. All you need to do is tell us where to be and when to be there.

At the end of the day, we care about doing right by the people who trust us with something this important. That means showing up prepared, paying attention to the people and moments that matter to you, communicating honestly, and creating photographs and films we’re genuinely proud to hand back to you. We don’t take it lightly that this work will eventually become part of your family’s history.
You also don’t need to know exactly how many hours you need, which collection makes the most sense, or what your finished timeline will look like before reaching out. Helping you sort through those things is part of our job. If you have a date, a general location, or simply a feeling that our work might be right for you, that’s more than enough to start the conversation.
